Privacy Policy
Effective date: 7/9/2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Mikvah One LLC ("Mikvah One," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Mikvah One website, booking platform, online store, and related services (the "Platform").
Discretion is central to what our Platform is for. We designed the Platform so that mikvah staff see as little of your personal information as their work requires, and we hold ourselves to the same standard.
1. Information we collect
Account information. Name, email address, phone number, password (stored in hashed form by our authentication provider), and optionally a default address.
Booking information. The mikvah you book at, appointment type, date and time, booking status, and any notes you provide. Your name and phone number are stored with the booking as entered at booking time.
Walk-in information. If a mikvah's front desk records a walk-in visit for you, staff may enter your first name and optionally a phone number. This creates a booking record without an online account.
Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your card number. We store payment records (amount, status, payment method type, and Stripe transaction identifiers) associated with your bookings and orders. Cash payments recorded at a front desk are stored as payment records without any card data.
Store orders. Products purchased, shipping name and address, and order history.
Location information. If you use "Find a mikvah near me," your browser asks your permission to share your location, which we use to show nearby mikvahs. If you search by city or ZIP, we use that search text. We do not track your location in the background.
In-room messages. If you use an in-room tablet to message an attendant, those messages are stored and are visible to the mikvah's staff.
Communications preferences. Your email and SMS opt-in status and any unsubscribe or STOP requests.
Technical information. Standard log data such as IP address, browser type, and pages visited, used for security and to operate the Platform.
2. How we use information
We use information to: operate the Platform and process bookings and orders; send transactional communications (confirmations, reminders, cancellations, shipping updates); display your first name on the in-room tablet during your appointment where that feature is in use; process payments and refunds; prevent fraud and abuse and enforce rate limits; provide customer support; comply with legal obligations; and improve the Platform.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your booking information for advertising.
3. How information is shared
With the mikvah you book at. The mikvah you book with receives your booking details. By default, its staff see your appointment identified by a booking code — not your name or phone number. A staff member may access your name and phone number only through a logged "reveal" action that records who accessed it, when, and their stated reason. Mikvah owners can review this access log. Note that a mikvah's staff will naturally learn who you are when you attend in person; this system governs what appears in the software.
With service providers. We use trusted providers to operate the Platform: cloud hosting and database services, Stripe (payments), our email delivery provider, and our SMS delivery provider. These providers process data only to provide their services to us.
SMS data is never shared for marketing. Your mobile phone number, SMS consent status, and text message opt-in data will not be shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties except as necessary to deliver the messages (our SMS provider) or as required by law.
Legal. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Mikvah One, our users, or the public.
Business transfers. If Mikvah One is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy.
4. Text messages (SMS)
If you opt in, we send appointment-related text messages (such as confirmations and reminders). Message frequency varies with your booking activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out and HELP for help. Opting out of SMS does not affect transactional emails about your bookings. Consent to SMS is not a condition of booking or purchase.
5. Support access to your account
To help resolve support issues, an authorized Mikvah One administrator can start a time-limited, read-only support session that views the Platform as your account sees it. Support sessions cannot make bookings, cancellations, purchases, or any other changes on your behalf; they expire automatically; and every session is recorded in an audit log (who accessed, whose account, when, and for how long).
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and browser storage necessary for the Platform to function — keeping you signed in, remembering your cart, and securing sessions. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
7. Data retention
We retain account and booking records while your account is active and as needed for legitimate business purposes, including payment and refund records we are required to keep for financial and tax compliance. Access logs (such as reveal logs and support-session logs) are retained as audit records. You may request deletion of your account as described below; some records (for example, payment records) may be retained where the law requires.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level database access controls that restrict each mikvah's staff to their own location's data, hashed device credentials for in-room tablets, and audit logging of sensitive access. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your choices and rights
Access and update. You can view and update your profile information in your account settings.
Email. Transactional emails are part of the service; you can unsubscribe from non-essential email via the link in any message.
SMS. Opt out any time by replying STOP or updating your profile settings.
Deletion. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal information by contacting Shimysurkistest1@gmail.com. We will honor the request except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business records.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws (such as rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information). To exercise these rights, contact Shimysurkistest1@gmail.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising them.
10. Children
The Platform is intended for adults and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Users outside the United States
The Platform is operated from the United States and information is processed in the United States. If you use the Platform from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
